Obituary of Paul Michael Buli

Middlesex, NJ – Paul Buli, 73, died in the early hours of Monday, February 5, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville.  Born and raised in Rahway to the late John and Mary (Szurnicki) Buli, Paul lived in Edison and Virginia prior to settling in Middlesex in 1978.

An honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy, Paul faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Scott’s Specialty in Middlesex where he worked as a machinist.  He loved fishing, was an avid NASCAR fan and whenever he would be seen, he always had a smile on his face.

Paul was a former member of the Middlesex American Legion Post 306 and Grace Alliance Church.

Predeceased by two brothers; Richard and John Joseph, Paul leaves behind his loving wife Linda (Manegold) Buli, son Paul Buli, Jr. and his wife Gina Guarino-Buli of Schwenksville, PA, daughter Dawn Shum and her husband Jack of South Bound Brook as well as four grandchildren; Maribelle, Julianna, Nicholas and Jacob.

A gathering celebrating Paul’s life will be held at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Saturday, February 10, 2024 beginning at 1:00pm.  Military Honors will conclude services for Paul beginning 3:45pm. 

Although flowers would be welcomed, memorial donations in Paul’s name sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.StJude.org) would be appreciated.
