Obituary of Catherine Lucchesi
Middlesex, NJ – Catherine (Messina) Lucchesi, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the Green Knoll Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater. Born and raised in Bronx, NY to the late Joseph F. and Frances (Oravec) Messina, Catherine was predeceased by her loving husband of 27 years, Peter, in 1986. She was a resident of Middlesex since 1966.
She retired as a bank teller for the Pinnacle Federal Credit Union after 17 years of employment. Catherine belonged to Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, was active in their Altar Rosary Society and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Catherine leaves behind her children; son, Robert P. Lucchesi and his wife Ann Marie of Orlando, FL; daughter, Karen Skinner and her husband Jim of Fort Wayne, IN; her grandchildren; Kyle Lucchesi, Megan Lucchesi, Amanda (Skinner) Fisher and her husband Brandyn, Nicholas Skinner and his wife Allie, and Kristen Skinner; her great-grandchildren; Alia, Nora, and Ella Fisher, and her brother, John Messina and his wife, Edna.
A Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Roman Catholic Church in Middlesex. Catherine’s cremated remains were placed to rest with her husband at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway immediately following Mass.
