Obituary of David N. Barnes, Jr.

South Plainfield – David N. Barnes, Jr., 60, passed away in the early hours of March 20, 2024 at RWJ University Hospital in Rahway.  Born in Plainfield to the late David N., Sr. and Lillian (Bolesta) Barnes, David was a resident of South Plainfield most of his life.

David was a driver for High Grade Beverage in Monmouth Junction.  He was a member of the Audobon Society, enjoyed fishing and never missed an opportunity to be involved in Politics.  David loved the American Flag and could always be found writing letters to editor of various newspapers.

David is predeceased by his parents; David N., Sr. and Lillian (Bolesta) Barnes, brother Daniel and many aunts and uncles.  He is survived by his aunts; Sandra Hasson of Dunellen and Beth Ann Carbonneau of Mobile, AL, uncle Stanley “Butch” Bolesta of South Plainfield as well as many cousins and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:30am.
