Obituary of Helen D Hollan
Helen D. (Spisak) Hollan, 92, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her bedside on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Born in Hazleton, PA to the late Vincent and Helen (Pisko) Spisak, Helen grew up in Lansford, PA and moved to Linden after marrying her husband Bernie. They started their family and settled to Middlesex fifty-five years ago.
A mother of six children, Helen spent her time caring for her family. She had a love for cooking and will be missed for her mashed potatoes! Helen also enjoyed reading and would never miss an opportunity to be with her family.
Predeceased by her husband Bernie who died in 2002, her son David who died in 2022 and two grandchildren; Helen leaves behind her children and their spouses; Bernie and Pamela of Clinton, Tom of Somerset, Andrea Cerwinski and Mark of Clinton, Robert and Elizabeth of Piscataway and Brian and Donna also of Piscataway. She will be missed dearly by her eleven grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and her brother Vincent and his wife Fran of Lansford, PA.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 600 Harris Avenue, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00am.
