Obituary of Mary J Giordano
Mary J. (Kelly) Giordano, 94, died Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at her home in Piscataway, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Bernard and Mable Kelly, Mary was raised in Staten Island and has been a longtime resident of Piscataway since 1964.
A clerk for Revlon in Edison for 24 years; Mary, continued to work after her retirement as a school aide, school bus attendant, and crossing guard.
A devoted communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Mary was active with the Altar Rosary Society throughout the years. She was also a Democratic Committee Woman for Piscataway for more than 50 years and was active with the Piscataway Italian American Club and Tri-State Seniors of Piscataway.
Mary is predeceased by her loving husband, Stephen Giordano, to whom she was a dedicated and devoted wife for 70 years; daughter, Doreen DeBiase; siblings, Bernard “Buddy” and James Kelly; and parents.
Surviving are Mary’s three children, Stephen Giordano and wife Patricia, Maria Wingate, Catherine Domanow and husband William, and Son-in-law John DeBiase. She will also be missed by five grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was kind, loving, and generous, had a heart of gold, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, at 9:30 AM in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ, followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, 501 New Market Road, Piscataway, NJ, at 10:30 AM.
Burial will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
Family and friends may gather for visitation on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM in the funeral home.
