Fernandina Beach, FL – Arthur Charles Williams, 98, passed away peacefully at the Warner Center located in Fernandina Beach on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Art was born in Larksville, PA to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Humzor) Williams.

A proud Navy veteran, Art faithfully served his country during WWII (European Theatre) seeing service in North Atlantic and the Mediterranean as a Seaman First Class.

After Art left the Navy at war’s end, he married Regina Kohler in June 1946 celebrated 72 years until Regina’s death in 2019. Art and his Jeanie raised a family of four, Patricia, Donna, Carol and Kenneth. They have 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Arthur retired from the NY Central Railroad and eventually moved to Florida in 2016.. He was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church

Visitation will be held at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday November 22, 2024 from 9:30am until 11:30am. A funeral mass will follow beginning at 12:00pm at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex. Art will be laid to rest beside his wife at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent in Art’s name to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
