Churaman Jelall, 75, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born in Skeldon, Guyana, Churaman immigrated to the United States in May of 1992, settling in South Plainfield not long after. Up until his retirement in 2007, he worked in the steel industry for MRP and Marino/WARE, both in South Plainfield.

Predeceased by his siblings, Reena, Data, Shirley, and Mukesh, Churaman is survived by his wife, Betty Jelall; children, Sandra, Naresh,  Jasmine, and Dolly; grandchildren, Julie, Jessica, Justin, Adam, Emma, and Ethan; and children-in-law, Steve, Christina, Jeffery and Rev. He will also be missed by his sister Shantie, as well as a host of extended relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425, Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 9 AM to 11 AM.

Cremation services will follow at Rosehill Crematory, 792 E Edgar Rd, Linden, NJ.
