Barbara A. Griffin, 65, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 15, 2025.

Born in Rahway to the late Peter and Beverly Long, Barbara has been a longtime resident of South Plainfield.

Barbara worked with IBM for many years prior to Barclay Brand Ferdon in South Plainfield where she was a valued member of the accounts receivable department.

Throughout the years, Barbara enjoyed traveling and catching up on some of her favorite TV shows with her daughter, Christina.  However, nothing brought her more joy than being "on the go" with her grandchildren. Whether attending their events or taking them shopping, or talking on the phone, Barbara cherished every moment with them.

Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Kevin P. Griffin; three children, Charles Frick IV, Christina Gawler and husband Mike and Colin Griffin along with her six cherished grandchildren, Ava, Michael, Christopher, Franki, Riley and Charles V. 

She will also be missed by her sisters, Linda Long and husband Bill and Karen Corliss; mother in law, Eileen Pike; sister in law, Eileen Magee and husband Rich as well as her nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 9:00 AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield at 10:00 AM.

Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 3-6PM.
