Obituary of Janice A. Burns

Oxford, NJ - Janice A. Burns, previously of Piscataway, passed away on Sunday February 11, 2018. Born to the late Ruth Steeber and Michael Postal, Janice grew up in Maplewood. A graduate of Columbia High School, Janice worked for many years at TKR and later Cablevision, bringing her upbeat spirit to customer service. Janice loved to have fun and brought joy and laughter to all those around her. A Hard-working woman who always put others before herself, her life revolved around her family. She was especially devoted to her four children, Melinda Dietrick, Kenneth Burns Jr, Kimberly Burns, and Michael A. Burns, and later grandchildren Brody, Harper, and Jace. Her time was lovingly spent cooking and entertaining for holidays, and taking trips to the beach. She especially enjoyed visiting Sandy Hook and Wildwood. She leaves behind many loving friends and family, including niece Victoria Mahon, Gabriella Hill, Kenneth Dannunzio, and former spouse Kenneth Burns Sr. She was predeceased by Sister Joyce Mahon, and Brother Michael Postal. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4-6 pm with a religious service beginning 5:30 pm. Burial will take place at Springdale Cemetery located in Warren.
