Obituary of Sandra S. Connelly

Sandra S. Connelly , affectionately known as Sandi, passed away at the age of 66 on Monday, May 7, 2018 at The Woodlands in Plainfield. Born in Plainfield, Sandi was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. Sandi was employed by the Borough of South Plainfield as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Senior Center, a position she held for 13 years retiring in 2016. Prior to her employment at the Senior Center, Sandi worked alongside her family at several of their family businesses in particular the former Helen's Place in South Plainfield. Outside of work Sandi enjoyed spending time entertaining relatives and friends in the comfort of her home. Predeceased by her late husband Patrick and her father Joseph, surviving is her daughter; Dana Hunter and her husband Colin, mother; Helen Spisso, grandchildren; Ireland and Declan Hunter, sisters; Kathleen Spisso, Nancy Kurilew and her husband Michael and Susan Mantz and her husband Joseph all of South Plainfield and her brother; James Spisso of Burlington. In addition, also surviving are 9 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended loving relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 4-9pm in the South Plainfield James W. Conroy Funeral Home 2456 Plainfield Ave South Plainfield, NJ 07080 Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, May 12 beginning at 9:15am in the funeral home followed by a 10:30am funeral mass at St. Bernard of Clairvaux & St. Stanislaus of Kostka RC Church 368 Sumner Ave. Plainfield, NJ 07062.
