Obituary of Theresa Simon

Theresa Simon, nee Poeltl, 98, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville. Born in Sonnen, Germany to the late Raymond and Nellie Poeltl, she came to the United States in the 1950's and settled in Piscataway where she raised her family. She was a former assembly line worker with ArtColor in Dunellen and then with American Standard in Piscataway. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Simon, Sr. in 2001 and her dear son John Jr. in 2015. Surviving are her loving children, daughter Christina Roth and husband Leonard, son Erhard Neumuller and wife, Irene, and her daughter-in-law Cindy Simon. Theresa is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Carole Neumuller, Bernadette Sawidzial and her husband Joe, Bobby Simon and wife Emily, Matthew Simon and wife Kim, Andrew Simon and wife Caitlin, Daniel Roth and wife Alexandra, and Jillian Roth. Theresa is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; Giselle Shaw, Bobby, Emma and Elijah Simon , Nadia and Dominic Sawidzial, Mikayla and Hannah Simon, and Celia and Brady Simon. Theresa's life was dedicated to taking care of her family. She enjoyed baking and having a good time with her family. Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from1:00 to 4:00PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, New Market Road, Piscataway. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway
