Obituary of Fred J. Aboosamara

Middlesex, NJ - Fred J. Aboosamara, Sr., 99, passed away at JFK Medical Center in Edison on Friday, June 8, 2018. Born in Union City to the late Leon and Selma (Affsa) Aboosamara, Fred moved to Middlesex in 1967. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army after he faithfully served his country during World War II. In 2002, Fred received the Distinguished Service Medal for his bravery during his time overseas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Union City. Predeceased by his wife Marie, and three siblings; Fred leaves behind three children; Leon and his wife Kim of South Plainfield, Fred, Jr. of Florida and Dwayne of Hillsborough, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Rita Atamian of Wayne. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Monday, June 18, 2018 from beginning at 11:00 am. A masonic service along with a catholic prayer service will begin at 12:00 pm. Military honors and burial will follow at 1:30 pm at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
