Grace Marie Fotia South Plainfield, NJ - Grace Marie (DeFazio) Fotia, 83, died on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Haven Hospice located within JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Archbald, PA, Grace had lived in Raritan until 1972, moved to Plainfield for a short time and has been a resident of South Plainfield for over thirty-five years. On November 26, 1958, she married Rudolph V. and began their life together. She was as a crossing guard in Raritan until 1972, a group leader for Mattel Toys in South Plainfield and she retired as a group leader from G&W Laboratories, Inc. over twenty years ago. She loved to dedicate her time helping out at all the local church events throughout the town and belonged to Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield and St. Ann's Parish in Raritan. Grace leaves behind her loving husband, Rudolph V., her beloved children; Henry Olszyk of Cape Coral, FL, David Fotia of Pocono Lake, PA and Randolph Fotia of Highland Park. She will be missed dearly by her grandchildren Rebecca, Hank, Jennifer and Victoria and by her siblings; Dolores Dermo, Catherine Rizzo and Tommy DeFazio. Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 2-6 PM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 with a religious service beginning at 5:30 PM. Final disposition will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
