Somerset - Melanie A. McCarthy passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in London England, Melanie came to the United States as a child and had resided in North Carolina. She later residing in South Plainfield for most of her life before settling to Somerset 15 years ago.
Predeceased by her father, Thomas who died in 2002, she is survived by her dear mother, Joan D. Fox, her beloved brothers, Bret McCarthy of California and Blaise McCarthy and his wife, Kim, of South Plainfield. Also surviving are three aunts, Joyce Rundan, Brenda Woodham and Beryl Nestola, her uncle, John Woodham and two nephews, Aiden & Kyle.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 7 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, NJ.
Visitation will be held from 5 PM until the time of the service at 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations in her memory be made the Easter Seals of NJ, Raritan Valley Workshop, 9 Terminal Road, New Brunswick, NJ.
