South Plainfield - Mary Tooz Seider, 84, died on Friday morning, September 4, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Middlesex, Mary has been a resident of the boro of South Plainfield since the late 1920's.
In the 1980's, after many years, Mary retired from working in the cafeteria of various schools in the South Plainfield school district. She was also previously employed by Cornell- Dubilier.
Mary enjoyed spending time gardening, but more importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren.
Predeceased by her only brother, Michael Tooz, who was South Plainfield first casualty of World War II, she is survived by her childhood sweetheart and her husband of 62 years, Adam J. Seider, Jr. Her loving children; daughter, Suzanne Butrico and her husband, William of South Plainfield, and her son, Gerald of Warminster, PA and four adoring grandchildren; Laura, Alison & Caryn Butrico and Michael Seider and his wife Aleksandra.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ. 07080, followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield.
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
Family & friends may attend the visitation hours on Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 3-7 PM in the funeral home.
