Anne W. Baykowski Services for Anne W. Baykowski,88, were held Friday, January 11, 2008. Mrs. Baykowski died on Monday, January 7, 2008 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield after a long illness. She was born in Newark, married and resided in Elizabeth before moving to Colonia in 1949. Employed by Wilson & Jones Company, Mrs. Baykowski left to become a "Rosie The Riveter" for Eastern Aircraft where she worked on fighter planes as part of the war effort during World War II. She retired after many years with the Westinghouse Corporation in Edison. She was married for 60 years to the late Edward W. Baykowski. The daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Kaspryzk) Bagan, she is predeceased by her sisters: Stella Bagan, Jean Leberfinger, Loretta Sullivan and her brothers, Adolph, Frank and Leo Bagan who ran for Mayor of Elizabeth during the 1950's. Surviving are her son, Edward J. and his partner in life, Ann E. Billman and many nieces and nephews. Services were held from the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals of South Plainfield, followed by a mass at St. Adalbert's RC Church in Elizabeth. Burial was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden.
