Christian B. Olsen
Piscataway - Christian B. Olsen, 83, died on Monday, July 16, 2007 in the Haven Hospice at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Olsen lived in Staten Island before settling in South Plainfield in 1935.
A 1941 graduate of North Plainfield High School, Christian served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
He was a carpenter by trade and worked for various builders throughout Middlesex and Somerset Counties.
In 1995, his wife Margaret, whom he met while stationed in England during WWII, passed away.
Surviving are his 2 daughters; Sharon M. Vachon of Piscataway and Susan M. Scott and her husband Richard of South Plainfield, and by his 2 sisters; Gladys Monnard of Pt. Pleasant and Eleanor Doherty of Edison. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren; Brian Bojar, David Scott, and Paul and Cheryl Vachon and his great-granddaughter; Hayley Bojar.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield.
Cremation will be private.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
