Obituary of Frank M. Colvin

Frank M. Colvin South Plainfield - Frank M. Colvin, 63, died on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at home. Born in Plainfield, Frank has been a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. Mr. Colvin was the owner and operator of Panel Oven in South Plainfield and he was also the former owner of Federal Maintenance and Construction. He was the former Instructor and Past President of the Warren County Rod and Gun Club. Frank enjoyed traveling and for several years he enjoyed his summer trips to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Mr. Colvin was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and he was also a member of the Watchung Valley Region of the Model "A" Restorers Club. He is pre deceased by his parents; Frank and Helen Colvin and by his brother in law Frank Squindo. Surviving are his loving family, his three daughters; Kimberly Born and her husband Wendell of South Plainfield, Shannon Colvin of Bayville and Megan Ameen and her husband Richard of Jupiter, Florida, his son Frank Colvin and his wife JoAnne of Eatontown, his longtime and loving companion Myra Fortunka of South Plainfield, his sister Carol Squindo also of South Plainfield, his 3 stepchildren Renee and Lisa Fortunka both of South Plainfield and Christopher Fortunka of Piscataway. Also surviving are his 7 grandchildren; Taylor, Christopher, Deleaney, Antonio, Julia, Lauren and Frankie. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
