Raymond E. Cuneo
Asbury Park, NJ - Raymond E. Cuneo passed away on September 11, 2010.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY on February 17, 1921 to his late parents Peter and Rose, he was the youngest of ten children and was the only surviving family member.
Raymond was honorably discharged from the United States Army having served in World War II as a medical supply soldier in India. After returning from the service, he married Eileen Kearns of Troy, NY in 1948.
He moved to South Plainfield in 1954 and then to Piscataway in 1964. He also lived in Readington, NJ and at Lake Paupackan in the Poconos at Hawley, PA before moving to Lakewood in 2001.
Raymond worked most of his career as a stationery supply salesman for Boorum and Pease Company of Elizabeth, NJ.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed ballroom dancing throughout his life.
Eileen passed in 1964 and his son Peter passed in 1970.
Raymond is survived by children; Raymond Jr. of Asbury Park, NJ, Paula Faro, Haddonfield, NJ, Christopher Cuneo, Middlesex, NJ and Mary Ellen Cuneo, Piscataway, NJ and by his three grandchildren: Jacob, Daniel and Katiana. He later married Mildred Bartolo in 1965.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 beginning 11:00 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by burial in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
