Obituary of Marie Yolanda Fuca

Marie "Yolanda" Fuca Piscataway, NJ - Marie "Yolanda" Fuca, 91, died on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Care One at the Highlands Nursing Home in Edison. Born and raised in Fairview, she was a resident of Manchester for twenty-five years and most recently, Yolanda moved to the nursing home in August of 2010. Yolanda spent her time as a homemaker caring for her family. She was a member of the Leisure Knoll Italian-American Club and Travel Club and a former member of St. John's Church in Lakehurst. Yolanda enjoyed her time traveling with her family, especially to Europe and Hawaii, and had visited forty-nine of the fifty states. Yolanda loved cooking Italian food, playing cards and could always be found ballroom dancing. She is predeceased by her husband Carmelo "Charlie" who died in 1997 and by her three siblings; Nick, Oreste and Regina. Yolanda leaves behind her children; Joan Gargiulo and her husband Jerry of Piscataway and Ronald and his wife Caroline of Saylorsburg, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jim and Karen Gargiulo, Bob and Stephanie Gargiulo, great-grandson Ryan and by her brother George Malavolta and his wife Ann of Albuquerque, NM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 beginning 8:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 9:00 AM funeral mass at St. Mary's RC Church in Plainfield. Mausoleum entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 6-9 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Road, Browns Mill, NJ 08015 would be appreciated.
