Anthony F. Neiland "Tony" Edison - Anthony F. " Tony" Neiland, 77, died peacefully on Saturday at his home. Born and raised in New York City, Tony had resided in Jersey City and various central New Jersey towns before settling to South Plainfield and most recently, Edison Senior Residence, six years ago. Tony served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1954. As an employee of the Prudential Bache Company in New York City, Tony worked in their customer relations department for most of his career before retirement in the late 1990's. Tony was a amateur poet and a member of the Poet Society of America. In addition, he was currently serving as the President of the tenants association of the Inman Grove Senior Residences. His beloved wife of 50 years, Grace Cash Neiland died in November of 2007. He is survived by his sister, Diana Fuller of Maine and his brother Joseph Cash of Metuchen. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. A memorial mass will be offered at Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Committal services of his cremated remains will be held privately in the NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals of South Plainfield, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
