Philip Weiseman
Sarasota, FL - Philip Weiseman, 81 passed away February 11, 2011 in Sarasota, FL with his wife and children at his side.
Philip was born and raised in Plainfield, NJ and was the longtime owner of Watchung Furniture House, established by his father in 1929; he expanded the business to Country Manor Furniture and A La Carton Furniture in Green Brook, NJ. In 2001 he retired and moved to Sarasota, Florida with his wife, Valerie.
He is predeceased by his father Albert Weiseman, mother Gertrude Gartenberg Weiseman and brother Jac Weiseman.
Surviving are his wife Valerie (Little) Weiseman, his children; son Kenneth Weiseman and wife Susan, son, Wayne Weiseman and wife Frances and daughter, Jody Weiseman Wood and husband Thomas. Philip also leaves behinds his five grandchildren; Samantha Weiseman, Matthew Weiseman, Christopher Weiseman, Halima Weiseman and Adam Wood, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, beginning with visitation from 10 AM - 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ. Prayer services and reflections will begin at 11am with Rabbi Moshe Samber officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Hebrew Cemetery, New Market Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ. 07080.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Philip Weiseman may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Florida, 1040 Woodcock Road, Suite 119, Orlando, FL. 32803-3510.
