Christine Sendzik South Plainfield - Christine M. (Grabowski) Sendzik, 72, died on Thursday, November 20, 2008 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Shamokin, PA., Mrs. Sendzik was raised in South River and resided in South Plainfield for many years. Christine was the Director of Religious Education for St. John's RC Church in Dunellen for 12 years. She was an active member of Our Lady Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield and for many years Mrs. Sendzik was a member of the Choir and participated in the RCIA program. She is pre-deceased by her 1st husband Felix Wiater and by her father Frank Grabowski. Surviving are her husband Frank, her 2 daughters; Karen Leonardi and her husband Tom of York, PA., and Lynnette Nagle and her husband Robert of Allamuchy, her son David Wiater and his wife Jill of High Point, NC, her mother Ann (Makowski) Grabowski of Matawan, her sister Joan Sarlo and her husband Larry also of Matawan and her brother Frank Grabowski and his wife Irene of Phoenix, Az. Also surviving are her 6 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by an 11:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 4-8 PM in the funeral home.
