Obituary of Marcella "Grace" Westrick

Marcella "Grace" Westrick Edison - Marcella "Grace" Westrick, 88, died peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at her home in the Heritage at Clara Barton Assisted Living Facility in Edison. Born in Queens, Grace has resided in Brooklyn, Wantagh, East Meadow and Bellmawr before moving to NJ. She resided in the Rossmoor Adult Community in Jamesburg before most recently settling to Edison. Grace had been employed as a supervisor for the Metropolitan Transit Authority in Long Island before her retirement. Her husband Harold, died in 1967. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Carol Ann Carlson, three grandchildren and two brothers. Surviving are her son, John C. Westrick and his wife Mary-Lou of South Plainfield, a daughter, Virginia Ravera and her husband, Robert of Basye, VA., seven grandchildren and by many great grandchildren. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by at 10:00 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY. Family & friends may attend the visitation hours on Monday, January 12, 2009 from 6-9 PM in the funeral home
