Michael A. "Mike" Sopko
South Plainfield, NJ - Michael A. "Mike" Sopko, 55, died suddenly on April 19, 2009 at his home. Born in Plainfield, he has been a resident of South Plainfield since the 1990's.
He worked in the construction field for local companies throughout the years. He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the New York Jets and New York Mets. He liked watching the old western movies as well as being a Star Trek fan.
Mike is predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret (Graham) Sopko.
He is survived by his wife Donna and by his son Michael R. Sopko both of South Plainfield and his brothers Dennis of Newark and David of Monroe Township. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Ruth Emrich.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 from 6-8 PM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080
