Elizabeth Bilewicz
South Plainfield- Elizabeth "Betty" (Florek) Bilewicz, 97, passed away on Saturday December 26, 2009 at Arista Care at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield.
Born in Plymouth PA., Mrs. Bilewicz had resided in Nanticoke PA for 20 years before moving to South Plainfield in 1953.
Mrs. Bilewicz was employed for 15 years as a Crossing Guard for the South Plainfield Police Department at Grant school and later at the corner of the Plainfield Ave. and Lake Ave. before retiring in 1975.
She is a communicant of Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Plainfield and a former member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens.
She is predeceased by husband, Frank and her son in law, Frank DeBerardinis., five sisters, and three brothers.
Surviving are her two daughters, Gloria "Louise"DeBerardinis., of Greentown, PA., and Violet Ruzicka of Plainfield, two grandchildren, Joseph Ruzicka and his wife, Geannine and Louise and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher and Gianna.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 9:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart R.C. Church in South Plainfield.
Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation is Thursday, December 31, 2009 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
