Helen Agnes (Zatorski) Dobrzelecki Family Matriarch Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt Green Book - Helen passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Abington Care and Rehab in Greenbrook. She was 100 years old. Born in Newark, she lived in South Plainfield and North Plainfield before moving to Bridgewater. Helen was an expert seamstress, specializing in wedding gowns, christening outfits, and fashions for her family and friends. She was noted for creating beautiful crafts, and Infant of Prague dresses, including those used in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. She also loved gardening, polka music, and cake and ice cream. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and will always be remembered for creating cherished family traditions and memories. While living in Newark, Helen was an active member of St. Casimir's Church, past honorary grand marshall of the Pulaski Day Parade, President of the Polish Women's Alliance Group 602, and past president and chaplain of the America Legion Auxiliary Post 408 Newark. In South Plainfield, she was an active member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, as well as tireless worker making pierogis for the St. Anthony Feast. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband, Felix, beloved parents, Michael and Mary (Boranski) Zatorski; brothers, Benedict, John, Casimir, Henry, Edward, Frederick and Alphonse; sisters, Josephine and Michaelina and daughter - in - law, Nancy Dobrzelecki. Helen is survived by her devoted daughter, Lorraine Buehler and husband Bill; and loving sons, Daniel and wife Patricia, Ronald and wife Grace, and Michael and wife Corliss. Also survivng are her cherished grandchildren, Billy Buehler, Debbie Custer and husband Shane, Karen Conklin and husband Richard, Jennifer Dobrzelecki, Daniel and fiancee Justine, Steven Mannion and Gail Mannion, great grandsons, Damian Conklin and David De Mare and great-great granddaughter, Lucy Mannion. She will also be missed by her very dear sister, Irene Orrok and husband Paul, dear sister - in - law Lydia Zatorski, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great - nieces, great - nephews, and many friends all of whom were a special part of her amazing life. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa, South Plainfield at 10AM. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Family and friend may attend visitation on Friday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM in the funeral home. Donations may be made in Helen's memory to Our Lady Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield, NJ.
