Helen Ann Accuosti Beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Helen Ann Accuosti, 87, of Bloomfield, peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 1, 2012. Helen lived in Bloomfield for the last 50 years. She is the wife of the late James Accuosti, a Veteran and former Staff Sergeant of the U.S. Army Air Corps and a graduate of Seton Hall University. Helen had a full career spanning 35 years with both the Essex County Medical Examiners Office and the NJ State Dept. of Criminal Justice serving as Head Secretary to the State Medical Examiner and continuing in various administrative positions with the State Dept. of Criminal Justice. Helen is survived by her devoted children Carol and Michael Rose of Lake Shawnee, James and Patricia Accuosti of Cedar Knolls, and Linda Scioscia of Bloomfield; her loving grandchildren Michelle Venino, Michael Rose, Cynthia Jones and Stephanie Accuosti; great-grandchildren Ava Venino, Sophia Venino, and Michael Rose, Jr. She is also survived by her dearest sisters Rose Murphy, Josephine Stack and her brother Nicholas Romano and his wife Mary. She is pre-deceased by her parents Maria and Felice Romano, her sisters Mary Cordasco, Constance Rose, Stella Colonnello, and her brother Carlo Romano. Visiting will be at St. Bernard of Clairvaux and St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 1235 George Street, Plainfield, on Wednesday, January 4, from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 5th at the Church. Entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. The family requests that donations to the Church of St. Bernard, 368 Sumner Ave. Plainfield, NJ 07062, be made in place of flowers. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
