Obituary of Bruce E. Eastlund

Middlesex NJ - Bruce E. Eastlund, 58, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison following a short illness.
Born in Plainfield, Bruce grew up in Edison and was a graduate of J.P. Stevens High School class of 1975. He later attended Middlesex County College and had been employed at Chanel in Piscataway for 34 years prior to his retirement in 2013.
Bruce was a huge sports fan who loved to collect baseball cards. He was passionate about the NY Yankees and followed the NY Giants and NY Rangers. Additionally, he loved his two cats, Miley and Stormy. He loved music, especially "oldies" and from time to time, was a guest DJ on a local online radio station.
He was a member of the Middlesex Elks and Christ United Methodist Church in Piscataway.
Bruce's heart was broken in December when his beloved wife of 28 years, Nancy died. He is also predeceased by his father, Douglas Eastlund, who passed away January 2009.
Surviving are his mother, Rose Eastlund of Middlesex and his sister, Lois Eastlund of New York City.
Family and friends may join together on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Christ United Methodist Church, 485 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ 0884 beginning at 10:30 AM for visitation with a memorial service to follow beginning at 11:00 AM. Cremation and interment services will be held privately at the request of the family under the direction of the Middlesex Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter, 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 or to an Animal Shelter of ones' choice.
