Obituary of John E. Rudzik

Edison - John E. Rudzik, 86, died on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates. Born in Somerset, John resided in the Finderne Section of Bridgewater before settling to South Plainfield in the 1950's. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, John served aboard the U.S.S Montpilier. Mr. Rudzik worked as a Pressman at the Newark Star Ledger as well as the former Art Color of Dunellen. John was also employed as a security guard at the former Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center of Plainfield and served as a member of the South Plainfield Special Police. He is predeceased by his wife Marvel, a son Mark Rudzik and his brother Bernie. Surviving are his son Glen of Levittown, PA, two granddaughters; Bridget and Brynn Rudzik and two sisters in law; Frances Godderz and husband Jim and Betty Steinbeck. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013 beginning at 9:30AM followed by an 11:30AM Funeral Service in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway
