South Plainfield - Colleen A. (Conshay) Kaufman, 50, died on Friday, May 10, 2013 at St. Peter's University Hospital after a courageous fight against cancer.
Born in Plainfield, She has been a resident of South Plainfield for most of her life and had been well known along with her husband Tom. Colleen was employed at the Polish National Home where she enjoyed cooking and bar tending for many years and was always available to assist her family and friends with food for their affairs. She had also worked at the Corner Deli in the boro.
Colleen could often be found spending time with her daughters, family, dogs and watching movies and television.
She leaves behind her dear husband of 26 years, Tom, her beloved twin daughters, Heather and Jacqueline, mother and father in law; Stan and Eleanor, sisters in law, Nancy Campbell and Gail Kaufman, two nephews; Stephen and Scott, a nice; Lisa and two great nieces.
Also surviving are a host of extended family members, the Polish National Home family and dear friends.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, May, 14, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ
Family and Friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM
