Obituary of Anthony Verdicchio

Manchester- Anthony "Sonny" Verdicchio, 76, died Monday, May 13, 2013. Born and raised in Plainfield, Sonny worked for the Union County Mosquito control. After retirement he settled in Manchester, where he has resided for the last fifteen years. He belonged to the Plainfield Eagles where he enjoyed their picnics. Sonny also could be found at the local flea markets. He is predeceased by his parents; Lawrence and Justine Verdicchio, and a sister; Angelina Aruta. Surviving are two sisters; Margaret Drust and Justine Verdicchio, a brother; Lawrence Verdicchio, six nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on May 22, 2013 at 9:00am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00am funeral mass at St. Bernard of Clairvaux & St. Stanislaus Kostka, Plainfield. Family and friends may attend visitation on Tuesday May 21, 2013 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM in the funeral home.
