Obituary of Carmela Importico

Carmela Importico South Plainfield - Carmela Importico, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in North Plainfield, Carmela settled South Plainfield 32 years ago. She worked as a seamstress for the former Star dress Factory in Plainfield. In addition Miss Importico was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church and a member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens. She is predeceased by her four brothers; Frank, Thomas, Nicholas and Louis Importico Surviving is her sister Lucy DeFillipo and her husband Vincent of Lakewood and two sisters in-law; Mary and Julia Importico. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 beginning at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield Visitation will be held Friday from 3-5 PM & 7-9 PM in the funeral home
