Obituary of Betty Rose Bellek

South Plainfield - Betty Rose Bellek ( nee Coury ) 81, passed away Friday morning, August 9, 2013 at the Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough. Born to the late Herbert and Mae Coury, Betty was raised in Plainfield and settled to South Plainfield 53 years ago. A homemaker for most of her life, Betty was a one of kind women who loved her family and friends. She was quick to make you laugh and was fun to be around. Betty also enjoyed spending time at the South Plainfield Senior Citizen Center, taking trips to Atlantic City and playing cards. Predeceased by her brother, Murad, surviving are her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert, three children; Wendy Tomei and her husband, Mel, son, Robert and son, Scott and his wife Michelle. A sister, Naheen "Nellie" Staats, and brothers; Robert and his wife, Marie and Richard and his wife, Debbie. Also surviving are four dear grandchildren; Kaitlin Calderone and her husband, Roy, Mark, Christina and Scott, a great granddaughter, Kennedy Rose, sisters in law; Kathy and Margie and a host of extended family members. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Family and friends are invited to join together for visitation hours on Tuesday August 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
