South Plainfield - Mary Teresa "Terri" Esposito, 89, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at JFK Medical Center in Edison, surrounded by her family.
Born in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, NY to the late Dominick and Anna Rose Magnoli, Terri resided in Plainfield before settling to South Plainfield almost 52 years ago.
Prior to retirement, Terri was employed with Formica Corporation in Piscataway for 10 years as an assistant to the desk distributer, she initially worked in the payroll department for the former Motor Lodge Co. in South Plainfield and Electical Industries in Murry Hill.
A communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield, Terri is also a former member of St. Mary's in Plainfield. She was a volunteer for Obudsman's Office the American Red Cross, assisting with natural disasters after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and Bolioxi, Mississippi, Hurricane Ike in Garelston, Texas and Hurricane Gustav in Biloxi, Mississippi. Terri made several friends along her journeys.
A sports enthusiasts, Terri enjoyed watching the Brooklyn Dodgers, her boys, New York Mets, New York Giants and New York Rangers.
Predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Jimmy and Peter Magnoli and son - in - law, Charles J. Percevault surviving are her husband, Carl A. Esposito of South Plainfield; three children, Dina K. Esposito of South Plainfield, Barbara Ann Percevault of Piscataway, and Edward C. Miller of Long Island, NY.
She will also be missed by her two grandchildren, Anthony C. Percevault (Irene) of Middlesex and Carla A. Basile (Brian) of Piscataway and cherished great grandson Charlie and a great granddaughter on the way.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield.
Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Mausoleum Chapel. South Plainfield.
Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Terri's memory made be made to either, the American Red Cross, any Animal Shelter or to a charity of one's choosing.
