Obituary of Dorothy King

Dorothy King North Plainfield - Dorothy (Diem) King, 80, died late Monday night at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Plainfield, Dorothy grew up in North Plainfield and resided in Watchung before moving back to North Plainfield nearly 35 years ago. Mrs. King worked in the Green Brook and later in the Cranford offices for Allstate insurance prior to her retirement. She enjoyed to read and was active with the North Plainfield Public library but more importantly Mrs. King loved spending time with family and close friends. Dorothy is predeceased by a brother Freddie Diem. Surviving are her sons; George King of South Plainfield and Wayne King of Queens, NY, a brother Clifford Diem of Brick, a sister in law Barbara Diem of Watchung and her two grandchildren; Jason King and his wife Tracy of Littleton, CO. and Justin King and his wife Shelly of South Plainfield. Also surviving are her three great grandchildren; Emmett, Rylee and Jaxson. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 3-6 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Cremation Services will be held privately.
