Obituary of Yoshua Werts-Galloway

Yoshua Mishael Werts -Galloway was born on October 19, 1992 in Paterson NJ. Yoshua was lovingly known as "Yoshi" by friends and family. He exuded an electric energy and spirit that would light up any room her entered. In addition to his bright spirit, Yoshua excelled academically. He consistently scored exceedingly well on nationwide testing. He attending South Plainfield Middle School, South Plainfield High School, Piscataway High School and graduating class of 2012 from West Windsor Plainsboro High School North. In High School, he was voted Vice President of Student Council, was a member of the track team. Yoshi was also a linebacker and running back for the Northern Knights Football Team (WWP High School North) . In addition, Yoshua attended Mercer County Community College for Business Administration, as well as PC AGE Career Institute for Information Technology (NJ). Yoshua was the proud, loving father of two sons; Nakai Mishael Jones- Galloway, 3 years old (Mother: Shanice Jones) and Kairo James Galloway, 8 months old (Mother: Amber Rogers). Yoshua is survived by his adoptive mother and Aunt, Tina Marie Galloway and his biological parents, Katrina Gaynor and Randy James Werts. Yoshua also leaves behind Grandparents, Joye McDaniel and Gloria Richardson; Godfather Kevin Grier; Godmother, Jacqueline Freeman; Great Great Aunt, Margaret Boyd; Great Aunt Leata Galloway; Stepmom, Shannon Gonzalez; Uncles, Kenneth Gaynor and Christopher Stith; Aunts, Qui-Shayne A. Werts and Tiffany Jenkins; Brothers, Jalaal Werts, Jamarques Werts, Joshua James Gonzalez, Jermaine Martin and Ihsan Cooper; Sisters, Ihsana Cooper, Shaniya Werts and Isys Acosta; Cousins, Brandon Gaynor and Brianna Gaynor; Godsisters, Danielle Freeman and Dominique Freeman and the South Plainfield Squad, Donta Rice, Gregory Harvey, Kiel Brown, Sheriff Ross and Jessie Allen. Funeral services will begin at 12PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080. Family and friends may attend gather for visitation beginning at 11AM. Cremation will follow privately.
