Obituary of Robert C. Kuchera

South Plainfield - Robert C. Kuchera, 83, passed away on March 20, 2018 at Rahway Hospital in Rahway. Born in Yonkers, NY to the late Charles and Mary Kuchera, Robert was raised in Kenilworth and had lived in Perth Amboy before settling to South Plainfield in 1965. A proud Korean War Veteran of the United States Army, Robert was a member of the South Plainfield VFW Post 6763 and a communicant and head usher of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church. Robert was employed by Acme Press in Kenilworth as a four color printing press operator from 1960 to 1998, after which time he started his own company, B & C Delivery, which he retired from in 2009. Predeceased by his wife, Carole (Bongard) Kuchera; he is survived by his daughter, Diane Kuhn and her husband Gregory of South Plainfield; two grandchildren, Kristen (Gualano) Eleftheriou and her Husband Angelo of Colonia, and Christopher R. Gualano and a beloved great-grandson Christopher E. Gualano of South Plainfield. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:30 am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by an 11:00 am funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Family and friends may attend visitation in the funeral home on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
