North Plainfield, NJ - Adolph "Bob" Fioravanti, 72, died on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Haven Hospice located with JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Plainfield, Bob was a 1957 graduate of North Plainfield High and has lived in North Plainfield most of his life .
He retired in 2000 from TRW Transtechnology Corp. of Mountainside after being employed since 1986. Formerly, Bob was a Foreman for Reichhold Chemicals located in Carteret.
Bob loved spending time bowling, golfing and taking trips to AC. He was an avid Mets & Giants fan and enjoyed attending his grandson Brian's baseball games.
He is predeceased by his siblings Virginia Frisco and Eugene Fioravanti.
Bob leaves behind his wife of forty-eight years, Jean (Wilson), his daughters Gail Lissy and her husband Richard of South Plainfield, Lisa Dutko and her husband John of Edison and Eugene and Liz Fioravanti of Colonia, his siblings; Dolores Bagonyi of South Plainfield, Joyce Puckett of Georgia and Joseph Fioravanti of North Carolina and by his four grandchildren; Brian, Brittany, Samantha and Zachary.
Visitation will be held in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm with a religious service beginning at 8:30pm.
At the request of the family, cremation will be held private.
In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the American Diabetes Association, Center Point II, Suite 103, 1160 Route 22 East, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 or to the American Cancer Society, 2600 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 would be appreciated.
