Obituary of Leona M. Gaster

Leona M. Gaster South Plainfield - Leona M. (Hebb) Gaster, died on Friday, November 16, 2012 in the Arista Care at Norwood Terrace in Plainfield. She was 83. Born in Maryland, Mrs. Gaster and her family settled to South Plainfield in 1967. An avid baker who enjoy to cook and sew, Leona worked for Revlon in Edison for nearly 25 years until her retirement. Besides her family and trips to Maryland, one of Leona's favorable achievements was earning her pilot's license due to her passion to fly. She is predeceased by two brothers: Robert and Charlie. Surviving is her husband: John, her three children Linda Greenstein, John Gaster (Sueann) and Toby Gaster (Donna) all of South Plainfield, her sister; Katherine Kight (Blaine) of MD., her brothers; Perry Hebb (Judy) of MD, Jack Hebb also of MD and Dan Hebb of West Virgina and her five grandchildren:, Tammy Danise, David Greenstein, Chris Gaster and John and Holly Gaster. Also surviving are three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6-9 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 along with a prayer service to begin at 8:30 PM. Interment will be held privately at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
