Obituary of Robert A. Darr

Robert A. Darr South Plainfield - Robert A. Darr, 57, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Robert, known as Bobby to his family, many friends and acquaintances was born in Newark NJ., to Anita and Benjamin Darr. He was raised and had resided in Springfield prior to settling to South Plainfield 26 years ago. He had attended Springfield public schools and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Bobby enjoyed meeting and talking with people throughout his entire life and in his younger years had a love of cars. He used those talents to his advantage to become a successful Auto Parts Salesman until his health made work difficult. He later found great joy in being active and attending all of his children's activities where he could continue to gab with various people. Bobby could also be found around town at various locations doing what he does best. Predeceased by his mother, Anita Darr, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Doreen (DiCuollo) two beloved children, Lauren and Kyle and his father, Benjamin. Also surviving are his mother in law, Rita and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will begin on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 . Interment services will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 4-8 PM and Friday from 10:30AM until the time of the service in the funeral home.
