South Plainfield - Deborah D. (Richter)Kratz, 64, died on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Elizabeth, Deborah resided in the North and South Plainfield communities for her entire life.
As she entered the workforce, Deborah began her career working for Telecordia Technologies, followed by Chubb and Son Insurance and The Katherine Gibbs School. She finished her working career at Dr. Joseph Aiello Office.
She was a member of the Oak Tree Presbyterian Church in Edison and served the church in several capacities particularly as a Deacon and also sang in the church choir.
Deborah enjoyed reading and traveling, but her greatest passion was helping others. She had a loving heart and was a caring and giving person.
Surviving are her son, John and his wife Shelly of Stafford, VA; brothers, Gilbert of South Plainfield and Todd Richter and his wife Luchie of Old bridge; three grandchildren, Joseph, ShyAnn and Kaila Kratz and a niece Danielle.
A Memorial Gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 4-7pm in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
