Obituary of Catharine C. Harders

Bridgewater - Catharine Cordelia Harders, 90, passed away peacefully with her loving daughter by her side on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the NJ Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater. Born in Millville, NJ, Catharine resided and raised her four children in Piscataway with her late husband, George Harders Sr. for 30 years, then moving to South Plainfield for the next 20 years. Catharine worked nights at the Dunellen Diner for many years and eventually started a full time job in Edison Township High School, retiring after 24 years at the age of 70. She will be remembered as a dedicated member/ PGO of the Eastern Star of NJ for over 60 years. Predeceased by her husband, George, and son Ernie, surviving are her three children, George (Rhonda), Lynn (Billy) and David (Betty); five grandchildren, Sherri (Vinny), Matt (Liz), Brian, Robin and Laura (Jon) and many other family and friends that adored her dearly. Catharine was such a sweet, beautiful, warm, loving, compassionate, intelligent and friendly woman; we were truly blessed to have been a part of her glorious life. Funeral services are private and under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, South Plainfield, NJ. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Catharine's name.
