Alfredo "Freddie" Pelia, 70, passed away March 16, 2014 at his residence. Born in Cavite, Philippines, he moved to the United States in 1988.Mr. Pelia was formerly a Police Officer in the Philippines and then worked for Continental Airlines in Newark. Freddie was predeceased by his wife Estela Pelia eleven years ago. Surviving are his children, Frederick Pelia and his wife Mahalia of Piscataway, Abigail Pelia of Piscataway and Alfredo Pelia Jr. of Alaska and his wife Caren of the Philippines, his siblings Roberto Pelia, Florence Pelia, Angelito Pelia and his grandchildren Alfiono, Miguel, Gabrielle and Choi Sun.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ. There will be a visitation period from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service. Committal will be private.
