Obituary of Felomena M. Rundella

South Plainfield, NJ - Felomena M. Rundella, known to many as Fannie, died at her home with her loving family at her side on March 8, 2017. Born in South Plainfield to her late parents Anthony and Carmella (Izzi) Carovillano, she has been a lifelong resident of the borough. Fannie retired from Victaulic Corporation in South Plainfield after a lengthy career. At the age of fifteen, she began a two decade career with Dalto's Grocery where she was extremely instrumental in managing the day to day operations. A communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield, she was also an avid shopper, enjoyed theater, loved trying new restaurants for lunch and back in the day, was an avid bowler. A best friend to many, she will be missed for her high spirited, full of life personality. Predeceased in 2014 by her husband Anthony, Sr. of sixty-eight years and her two siblings; Theresa Carovillano and Josephine Korman, Fannie leaves behind her loving and devoted children; Jane Rundella with whom she lived and Anthony J. Jr. and his wife Madeline of Bernardsville. She also will be missed by her grandson Alex and three sisters; Anna Zelehoski and Mary Celentano, both of South Plainfield and Dolores Derewicz of Macungie, PA. . She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm and on Monday, March 13, 2017 beginning 8:45 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Diabetes Chapter. Funeral services will be held 9:15 am on Monday, March 13, 2017 in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Fannie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
