South Plainfield - John Edward Wieckowski, 32, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Born in New Brunswick, John grew up in South Plainfield, graduating from South Plainfield High School in 2003. He continued his education at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and settled to Hillsborough.
John loved to run. He was a Co-Captain of the Cross Country team in his senior year of high school and recently ran various races in support, awareness and fund raising of Pancreatic Cancer. John also enjoyed watching and playing golf.
Surviving are his wife, Diana (Radice) Wieckowski; parents, John "Jack" and Diane (Dmytruk) Wieckowski; sister, Stefanie Wieckowski and brother, Brian Wieckowski and wife Kristina. He will also be missed by his niece and nephew, Madison and Wade, aunts, uncles, cousins extended family and friends.
He is also predeceased by his grandparents Ann & John Dmytruk and Mary & Edward Wieckowski
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield at 10AM.
Burial will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday from 4-8PM in the funeral home.
