Obituary of Gregory John Yefko

South Plainfield - Gregory John Yefko, 70, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville. Born in Bayonne, to the late Ned and Victoria Yefko, he resided in South Plainfield for most of his life and was a graduate of the South Plainfield High School class of 1963. Honorably discharged from the United States Army, he also served in the National Guard. Gregory had been employed as a grocery manager for Kings Super Market in various locations in New Jersey prior to his retirement. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and later enjoyed tending to his tropical fish. Surviving are his wife, Brigitte Nowicki-Yefko; two sons, Gregory Joseph and Kenneth M. and mother in law, Erna Nowicki. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Monday, January 15, 2016 from 5-8PM in McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Funeral and committal services will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association
